“I’m a CEO, team player, and problem solver. And like you, I’m fed up. That’s why I’m running to represent you as state treasurer. I’m a Kansan who will lead differently. And I will deliver pro-business, conservative solutions.
If you are ready for fiscal responsibility to return to the Treasurer’s Office, I hope you’ll join us.“

Executive Leadership & Fiscal Management
Sara Hart Weir is an executive, CEO and conservative who believes in empowering Kansas families through sound financial policy and investment.
Weir is a proud Kansan and product of our Kansas public schools (a graduate of Olathe South High School). Weir eventually went on to serve for many years as the president & CEO of the National Down Syndrome Society (NDSS).
As CEO, Weir oversaw a multi-million dollar nonprofit organization that experienced record growth in community impact and achievement, financial health and viability and went from a three-star to a four-star Charity Navigator (top category) nonprofit, which included a 100% transparency and accountability ranking.
Weir’s life has been about leading differently, serving others and delivering results with the leadership philosophy of “if you’re not at the table, you are on the menu.” Sara deploys an “in the trenches” leadership style by engaging directly with constituents — in local communities, in the classroom, on the job site or around kitchen tables. Weir’s passion for “giving a voice to the voiceless” and ensuring underserved and under-represented populations have a seat at the table was inspired by Kasey, her best friend of 20 years who had Down syndrome.
